Voting

We can often feel pretty powerless in our abilities to shape our world and it’s future.

Even in the ‘free’ nations, the great decisions are not offered to the public at large.

We can call or write our opinions to our representatives, but it’s rather like being in the position of a child. We can say what we want, but the decisions are made by others who may, or may not see the situation the way that we do.

The lines between Corporations and Nations are blurred, and many of the decisions about our society and our ways of living are made based on economic logic rather than upon what is best for the most people, or what is best for the planet that we live upon.

The leaders that are put forward to represent us are often a choice between ‘bad and badder’, a choice between Product A and identical Product B.

Gore Vidal is quoted as saying “No matter who you vote for, the Government always gets in.”

Most people realize that our national decisions are made in Corporation boardrooms as often, or more often, as they are made on the Floor of the House or Senate.

We have the Honored Senator from Product A debating the Esteemed Senator from Product B, and their decisions always benefit both products, but often don’t benefit the Earth or it’s Children.

We see Corporations sitting on Presidential Advisory Boards and being major factors in shaping all National Policy.

Our opinions and science often don’t influence them, but money and profit always does.

That is why FOR MOTHER EARTH advocates VOTING WITH YOUR DOLLARS.

Every time that you buy a double hormone greaseburger with GMO bun and artificial cheese, with a helping of GMO fries, you are voting for GMOs, artificial flavorings, and poisoned meat. You may often vote to have a large high fructose sweetened carbonated drink with your meal.

Every time that you buy ORGANICS you vote for a world of pure good foods.

Every time that you buy a traditional cotton product, or plastic item, or any synthetic fiber item, you vote for a pesticide world, a world run for and by petroleum. You vote for pollution.

EVERY TIME YOU BUY HEMP OR BAMBOO OR ANY OTHER ORGANIC, RENEWABLE RESOURCE YOU VOTE TO SAVE OUR LAND AND OUR TREES AND OUR WATERS.

Your dollars spent are a vote for a sweat-shop world of economic oppression or a FAIR TRADE world where the dignity of the human is respected.

When you spend consciously, you vote for the 7 Generations to come, NOT for large profits for a few.

Once the ORGANIC FOOD INDUSTRY moved from being small hole-in-the-wall businesses to a several billion dollar a year industry, ORGANICS became of interest to the Corporations, and now we suddenly see investment in advertising green and healthy food choices by the same Corporations that only offered artificial before.

It’s because people VOTED WITH THEIR DOLLARS. They invested in healthy instead of in crapola and the industries followed the money.

That’s how we get to VOTE, that is a way that the common person can shape the world to come in today’s market driven society.

Buy HEMP AND OTHER EARTH-FRIENDLY PRODUCTS EVERY CHANCE THAT YOU GET!

DON’T BUY POISON, OR ARTIFICIAL, OR PETROLEUM PRODUCTS EVERY CHANCE THAT YOU GET.

It’s that simple.

CONSCIOUS SPENDING = CONSCIOUS VOTING.
